In continued commitment to developing educational opportunity in Noble County, the Olive B. Cole Foundation is partnering with Questa Education Foundation to provide the Cole Scholarship, which supports graduating seniors from Noble County.
Established by the Olive B. Cole Foundation, founded in 1954 by Richard R. Cole, the Cole Scholarship has grown in both reach and impact. Today, it supports nearly 90 students pursuing associate and bachelor’s degrees across Indiana and beyond. The program will award over 30 more students for the fall 2026 academic year.
The Cole Scholarship offers renewable financial support of up to $2,500 per academic year for up to four years, contingent upon the student’s progress toward graduation. These awards can total up to $10,000 to help students pursue associate or bachelor's degrees. Students enrolled in certificate programs are also encouraged to apply. Students currently receiving the Cole Scholarship and pursuing a teaching degree may be eligible for additional funding during their junior and senior years.
“We are proud to partner with Questa Education Foundation to continue the legacy of educational opportunity supported by our founder, Dick Cole,” said Emily Pichon, president of the Olive B. Cole Foundation. “By entrusting administration to Questa, we are strengthening the scholarship’s long-term impact and ensuring Noble County students have the resources and support they need to succeed in college and beyond.”
This scholarship opportunity builds on a longstanding relationship between the two organizations. Since 2011, the Olive B. Cole Foundation has been a proud partner of Questa Education Foundation, providing funding support to nearly 50 Questa Scholars. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to expanding educational opportunities and strengthening communities across Northeast Indiana.
Through its administration of scholarships and forgivable loan programs, Questa empowers students in Northeast Indiana to achieve their education and start careers in our community. With the addition of the Cole Scholarship, Questa advances its mission to make higher education more accessible for Noble County students and learners throughout the region.
The Cole Scholarship application is open through March 15, 2026, and students are encouraged to apply through Questa’s online application. Students may also apply for additional financial support through the Questa Traditional Scholars Program.
