Questa Education Foundation is expanding its regional service area to include Grant County, marking an organizational milestone. The expansion will provide more local students with financial aid opportunities to higher education while aligning Questa’s regional footprint with other education and workforce partners.
Questa originated in Fort Wayne nearly 90 years ago and expanded to serve 11 counties in northeast Indiana between 2011 and 2016, providing forgivable loans to students from Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, and Whitley counties. Beginning in July 2026, Grant County students will also be eligible to apply for Questa Scholar Programs.
“As a current Questa partner school, this expansion is an important step toward making higher education more affordable to students in Grant County,” said Dr. Alex Huskey, chancellor of Ivy Tech Community College’s Marion Campus. “It also creates valuable opportunities for regional employers to invest in local students, develop the talent they need, and retain skilled graduates in our communities.”

Questa continues to grow its impact across Northeast Indiana. In fiscal year 2026, the organization supported more than 725 students, a 10% increase over the previous year, while maintaining an 85% graduation rate, well above the national average of 60%. Today, 82% of Questa graduates live and work in Northeast Indiana, strengthening the region’s workforce and economy, while 95% of Career Scholar graduates remain employed with their employer partner.
Available to graduating high school seniors, returning college students, and adult learners, Questa Scholar Programs help fund students with up to $5,000 per academic year ($2,500 per semester) as they pursue a certificate, associate or bachelor’s degree while attending an Indiana college or university.
These programs enable students to borrow up to $20,000 for a 4-year bachelor’s degree in forgivable loans, which can be up to 75% forgivable when the scholar completes their degree and lives and works in the 12-County region for five years after graduation.
