FORT WAYNE, IND. (Thursday, October 1, 2026) – Questa Education Foundation announces three new members of its board of directors and one Scholar Ambassador to the Board:
Gary Furst is the executive vice president of administration, chief executive officer and corporate assistant secretary of Do it Best Corp. With nearly 30 years of experience in corporate law and executive leadership, Furst brings expertise in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, human resources, enterprise risk and strategic growth. Before joining Do it Best, he was an equity partner at Barnes & Thornburg LLP, where he focused on complex litigation. Furst serves on the board of the Do it Best Foundation and Huntington University’s President’s Advisory Council on Excellence (PACE). He earned his law degree from Valparaiso University.
Amanda Lopez is the president and founder of Transform Consulting Group (TCG). For nearly 20 years, her firm has helped nonprofits, schools, government agencies, and funders across Indiana and nationally use data and research to expand their impact. Before founding TCG, Lopez worked for the Association of Community Human Service Agencies in Los Angeles, Calif., and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the Budget, the Children’s Bureau, and the Head Start Bureau in Washington, D.C. She earned her master’s degree in social work with a focus on policy and evaluation from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in law and society from Purdue University.
Lopez grew up in Northeast Indiana and returned to the area to raise her family and grow her business. As a parent of two, she was drawn to Questa’s mission to make postsecondary education more attainable for students across the region.
Dr. Robert “Rob” Pepper serves as president of Huntington University in Huntington, Ind. With more than three decades of experience in higher education, he has held leadership roles spanning student life, athletics, enrollment, academic affairs, student success, and institutional development.
Before joining Huntington University in 2025, Pepper spent more than 30 years at Messiah University in Pennsylvania. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Messiah University, a master’s degree in counseling and college student development from Shippensburg University, and a Ph.D. in organizational leadership from Regent University. He also completed the Institute for Management and Leadership in Education at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education. Pepper serves on the board of AgriNovus Indiana, chairs the board of Lenawee Christian Ministries in Adrian, Mich., and serves on the 21st Century Talent Policy Committee of the Regional Chamber of Northeast Indiana. His interests include strategic planning, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and community engagement.
Erica Stinson is a nursing student at Ivy Tech Community College in Fort Wayne and a Questa Scholar pursuing her goal of becoming a registered nurse. She brings a diverse professional background to the Questa board of directors, including more than 16 years of military service and experience in the financial services industry.
As a Scholar Ambassador to the Board, Stinson is passionate about representing the student perspective and sharing how educational support can enable career transitions and continued education. She is especially grateful for the opportunity to contribute to an organization that is directly supporting her own journey through nursing school.
Stinson lives in the Fort Wayne area with her husband, Adam, and looks forward to serving her community through both nursing and her continued military service.
