Students admitted into the Parkview Surgical Technologist Academy, offered in partnership with Trine University, can complete their degree with less debt and start a career at Parkview Health.

Parkview Surg Tech Scholars can receive up to $18,000 total throughout the 17-month program.

Scholar loans are 100% forgiven when the scholar works at Parkview Health for at least 18 months after graduating from the Trine Surgical Technology Academy.

Who is Eligible:

  • Students intent on living and working in the Parkview region upon graduation

  • Selected Parkview Surgical Technologist Academy students

  • Working at least a .6FTE while enrolled in this degree program

  • Students who are committed to working full-time at a Parkview Health Facility in surgical technology for at least 18 months after graduation

  • Due to the work requirements for debt forgiveness, applicants for a Career Scholar program must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Questa is excited to partner with Parkview and Trine University to support the Surg Tech Academy program.  You will have access up to $18,000 to support your Surgical Technologist Academy program costs.  

The Questa Parkview Surg Tech Scholars Program allows you to receive up to $18,000 in forgivable loan funding for your program. Funds will be sent directly to Trine University. The program has an 18-month work commitment at Parkview Health to receive 100% loan forgiveness. 

The Parkview Education Benefit- Loan Payback Program is available as a Parkview Coworker, after 6 months of continuous work at a .6FTE. At that time, you will be eligible for the Loan Payback Program to cover any Student loans taken out for the Surg Tech Academy. Pre-requisite courses taken for the Surg Tech program can be covered if taken out as a Student Loan. 

The remaining tuition and fees not paid by the Questa Parkview Surg Tech Scholars funding are approximately $5,580 and may be paid through student loans. Additional steps might include:

  • Contacting Trine University to either pay the semester costs directly or to set up a payment plan. Contact Trine at businessoffice@trine.edu

  • Applying for FAFSA to access federal or state grants and federal student loans. Trine University's school code is 001839. Email Trine at finaid@trine.edu.

  • You may also apply for Private Student Loans to cover the remaining cost of the Surgical Technologist Academy program. Feel free to check with your bank/credit union or one of the following: 3Rivers FCU, Everwise, Old National Bank, or Lake City Bank.
