In partnership with the Don Wood Foundation, Questa is offering a new pilot opportunity for eligible Questa Scholars.
If your Questa loan was supported by the Don Wood Foundation, you may have an opportunity to have 100% of your Questa loan forgiven by working for a manufacturing company in Northeast Indiana after graduation.
You already have access to your original Questa loan forgiveness benefits:
50% forgiveness if you live and work in Questa’s 12-county service area for five years after graduation
25% forgiveness if you graduate from a Questa partner school
Through this pilot program, you can earn forgiveness of the remaining 25% of your loan by working for a qualifying manufacturing company in Northeast Indiana after graduation. That means your entire Questa loan could be forgiven!
-
Students whose Questa loan was fully or partially supported by the Don Wood Foundation and who will graduate within the 2026-2027 academic year (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027).

A manufacturing company is a business that transforms raw materials, components, or parts into finished, tangible goods using tools, human labor, machinery, and chemical or biological processing. The federal government classifies companies by industry and an easy way to confirm if your prospective employer is considered a manufacturing company is to look up their NAICS code. Manufacturing company codes start with 31, 32, or 33. For example, you can Google: “Company Name NAICS Code” and the results will help you see if the company’s code starts with 31, 32, or 33. If it does, it’s a manufacturing company.
Northeast Indiana is defined as Questa’s 12-county service area, which includes: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Grant*, Huntington, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Whitley and Wells Counties.
*Questa recently added Grant County to our service area. This means there are more opportunities for you to look for jobs that qualify for debt forgiveness.
-
Your original Questa loan terms remain the same and you are still eligible to receive forgiveness of:
50% of your Questa loan if you live and work in the 12 counties of northeast Indiana for five years after graduation
25% of your Questa loan if you graduate from a Questa partner school
-
Since you were already selected for the pilot program, the 100% forgiveness opportunity will still be available to you even if you graduate past June 30, 2027.
-
No, only Questa Scholars who were supported through the Don Wood Foundation and are scheduled to graduate this academic year are eligible. All qualified scholars were notified directly. This is a pilot program that may be expanded in future years, but not at this time.
-
No, your original Questa maximum award will remain the same.

Although Questa does not provide job search services, we are excited to try some new ways to help. Our team will create a webpage with more information about manufacturing careers and we will add direct links for northeast manufacturing companies. You can use those links to find jobs for which you may want to apply.
In addition to any Questa career connections, we encourage you to make an appointment with your career services department on campus. They can help you with everything you need for your job search - including resume and cover letter reviews, practice interviewing, finding jobs, and building your network.
Questa Scholars could receive an additional 25% forgiveness on their Questa loan by attending and graduating from one of the following partner institutions.
Anderson University
Grace College*
Huntington University
Indiana Tech
Ivy Tech Marion
Indiana Wesleyan University
Manchester University
Purdue University Fort Wayne
Taylor University
Trine University
University of Saint Francis
*Forgiveness may vary per institution and program.
