Cole Graduate Scholars Program

Supporting the Next Generation of Education and Healthcare Leaders

The Cole Graduate Scholars Program is designed to support the advanced educational journeys of two outstanding graduate students: one pursuing a graduate degree in education and one pursuing a Doctor of Medicine.

Through generous funding from the Cole Foundation, this program provides forgivable loans to help with their financial gap. Scholars may be eligible to receive 50% of their loan forgiven when they live and work in Northeast Indiana for five years following graduation.

Program Overview

Two Graduate Awards Available:

  • $10,000 forgivable loan for a scholar pursuing a graduate degree to qualify for teaching dual credit classes

  • $20,000 forgivable loan for a scholar pursuing a Doctor of Medicine

    Questa will coordinate a funding schedule tailored to a scholar’s academic program to ensure support throughout their studies. Support may vary depending on the requirements of the academic program.

Other Eligibility Requirements

  • Resident of DeKalb, LaGrange, Noble, or Stueben County.

  • Accepted into an accredited graduate or professional program in the designated fields

  • Intent to live and work in Northeast Indiana upon graduation

  • Completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  • Regular compliance and progress checks to help students stay on track and maintain eligibility
