Questa Foundation for Education administers the Virgil J. and Mildred C. Roy Nursing Scholarship, which assists students who are enrolled in Allen County, Indiana schools of nursing pursing an R.N. degree. Qualifying schools of nursing include: University of Saint Francis, IPFW, and Ivy Tech Community College.

 

Eligible applicants include those nursing students who are enrolled in an Allen County school of nursing and are pursuing an R.N. degree. Only those students pursuing an R.N. degree and seeking registered nurse certification may apply.

 

Nine (9) students received $12,000.00 in Roy scholarship awards for the 2009-2010 academic year.

 

This is a competitive scholarship that includes a formal application process. Selection of scholarship recipients is based upon academic standing, financial need and requires the recommendation of an applicant’s nursing department as well as additional character references.

 

Application materials are available on Questa’s website after May 1 each year.
