Ryan Shepherd

Ryan Shepherd serves as Coordinator of Business Services with primary responsibility for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, student loan accounts, loan repayments, collections processes and preparation of monthly financial reports and statements. Ryan brings to Questa Foundation 15 years of operational leadership and customer service experience in the fields of telecommunications and non-profit association management.

 

Questa Foundation's external and internal customers are well served by Ryan's patient, approachable demeanor, unparalleled dependability and stellar commitment to serving others.

 

A native of Danville, Illinois, Ryan hails from a family with a strong commitment to education. He is the first-born of a parochial school principal and a business graduate from the University of Illinois. Ryan began his career at Cellular One in Danville and ultimately became chief operating officer of the locally-owned company. More recently, he was operations manager for the Indiana Construction Association in Indianapolis.

 

A committed family man, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife and two adorable children. His spare time finds him running, biking, devouring Clif bars, learning about Fort Wayne and willingly completing a myriad of projects on his "honey do" list (as long as they don't include cleaning bathrooms!).

 

Jana Grothaus

Jana Grothaus serves as the Program Officer, managing the Questa Scholars Program and other lending and scholarship programs.  As program officer, Jana works with each Questa Scholar to handle questions and concerns and guide scholars through the program.  Jana is also responsible for promoting the Questa Scholars Program throughout the NE Indiana high schools.

 

Jana brings to Questa Foundation 22 years of banking and lending operations management.  Jana has lived and worked in the Allen county area all her life.  She has a business administration degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.  Jana is a strong advocate of the need for higher education for our young adults.

 

Jana enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters.  She also loves to cook and do home improvement projects.  Jana also is actively involved with her church and her daughters' school.

 

 

Dawn Schwehn

Dawn Schwehn personifies the Staples "Easy Button" with her ever-pleasant, always reliable "it can be done and I'd be happy to do it" attitude. She serves Questa Foundation as administrative assistant extraordinaire, providing clients and staff with front-line courteous and knowledgeable service. Dawn is responsible to greet customers, offer assistance, answer questions, solve problems, monitor client compliance and keep the office and her teammates organized and sane (it's a big job, but someone has to do it!).

 

Dawn also provides efficient and highly capable support to the executive director assisting with board and committee meetings, fundraising opportunities, scheduling and special events.

 

She and her husband, Bill, are the proud parents of two grown daughters both of whom were previously selected as Questa Scholars.

 

Dawn has extensive catering experience with Goeglein's Catering and previously served as an administrative support professional for East Allen County Schools.

 

Ashley Meyer

Ashley Meyer assists Questa Foundation with special projects as needed. 

 

She formerly served Questa Foundation as Program Officer and Office Manager from 2009-2011 before joining her family business, Titan Metal Spinning, in Angola, Indiana.

 

Ashley is a former Peace Corps volunteer in Guinea, West Africa where she served from July 2008 through October 2009. She taught math in French to 175 students in the village of Wonkifong before she and her colleagues were evacuated due to political instability.

 

Ashley is a 2008 summa cum laude graduate of Huntington University with a bachelor of science in mathematics with a minor in physics.

 

Ashley is the proud owner of a delightfully engaging, highly inquisitive, and slightly neurotic feline, Wonki, who is named in honor of her Guinean village.

 

 

Pat Oppor

Pat Oppor, CPA, owner of Targeted Services, PC, provides contracted professional accounting services to Questa Foundation. Pat specializes in non-profit organizations and business operations. She is responsible for preparing Questa’s financial statements and monitoring internal financial controls. Pat also assists with IRS tax filings and requirements.
