For nearly 75 years, Questa Foundation for Education has provided affordable loans and generous scholarships to assist thousands of college-bound, Allen County high school graduates in pursuit of their post-secondary educational aspirations.

In 2007, the Foundation launched a pioneering, new lending program, the Questa Scholars Program – the only one of its kind in the nation. This innovative debt forgiveness program allows selected Questa Scholars to borrow up to $20,000 for college over four years and qualify for up to 50 percent in debt forgiveness if certain GPA and residency requirements are met after graduation. Currently, 210 Allen County graduates have been selected as Questa Scholars. To learn more about the Questa Scholars Program, visit the link above.

In 2010, Questa Foundation also committed the Foundation's resources to the pursuit of three (3) strategic outcomes through 2025:

  1. Increase college attainment rates in northeast Indiana from 26.5% to 60% of 22-26 year olds with an associate or bachelor's degree;

  1. Increase talent retention by incentivizing 80% of Questa Scholars to remain in, or return to, northeast Indiana to live and work after college; and

  1. Help Questa Scholars who desire to live and work in northeast Indiana after college to graduate with less than 50% of the average student debt load for Indiana college graduates.

In 2011, Questa Foundation expanded the Questa Scholars Program to include high school graduates from DeKalb, Huntington, Kosciusko and Whitley counties, in addition to those from Allen County.

Questa’s loan and grant programs are made possible by the generous, charitable giving and educational vision of philanthropically minded citizens and investors who believe our region’s young people are our community’s greatest assets.

Questa Foundation is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit public charitable organization. Contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
